I've never met an Ommegang I didn't like and though I've had this before, it was great to experience it again. The Ommegang Abbey Ale presents itself with a rich color and thick head that holds through the entire glass. It starts with a fruity nose and is a bit nutty with what seems to be a hint of brown sugar maltiness. This solid Belgian-style Abbey ale is smooth on the front and back end and lightly carbonated throughout. The 8.1 ABV puts a nice smile on your face when you reach the end of the glass.
Prost.
